You can click here for an email set-up! - I will review your order and reply letting you know if I can accept the commission and confirm the price with you. I will also let you know if I can start right away, or if I put your commission on the waiting list.
- After we both have signed the contract, I’ll start by sending you a sketch for you to approve. At this stage you can let me know if there are any changes that need to be made before we move on.
- Once the deposit has been received I’ll continue painting.

You can give me as much information as you'd like! In case of character of book illustrations, I would prefer it if I could get at least some of the following things:
- Character and personality description;
- Background story or little blurb of your story (I like to know this so I can get to know the characters more, feel free to send as much as you want)
- The emotions you want to portray
- Any specific positions
- Any specific color palettes
- Any specific wishes for the background
- Any specific wishes for the vibes of the background/whole illustration
- Any references or a Pinterest board
Don't feel obliged to send all of these, just send me whatever you would like and what you think is necessary! If I miss any information, I will let you know!
For a book cover commission I need to know the following things before getting started:- The size of the book cover (you can also give me an estimated size, please let me know, I will keep in mind that it may still need to be adjusted
- Do you want to do the text yourself or do you want me to do it

Yes, I do! But no need to search for it, since all my commission have it already included!

Commissions are added to my waiting list in order of when they were purchased, unless you have commissioned me for a time sensitive piece (birthday, anniversary, convection artwork) or choose a specific, available spot in the future!
If you would like to have a piece on a date before my first available spot, you can always email me!
If I have enough time, we can arrange a rush order. An extra fee may be added for rush orders, depending on how much time there is for the commission.
It is also possible that I am completely booked and I unfortunately can't work on your commission before given date. -
I will complete and deliver the commissioned artwork within a maximum of 12 weeks after receiving the deposit, if not a specific later date has been discussed.
All attempts will be made to complete the artwork by in the contract listed date, but in the case if unforeseen circumstances, you will be notified of any delays within 72 hours of the due date or as soon as a delay is caused. -
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon delivering the sketch.
The remaining balance is due upon completion and delivery of the artwork described above, within ten (10) business days.
You can pay through a direct bank transfer (preferable) or through PayPal. My currency is EURO.
We can always talk about a payment schedule or paying afterwards! If life happens, just message me and we can always figure something out! -

The contract look really formal, but everything is stated there clearly and it's for your and my protection.
You can always message me about any questions you have about the contract.
The commission is officially accepted when both parties have signed the contract. This also results in me not starting with the commission before you've send back a signed agreement.

You can resell the artwork since a commercial license is included. I do prefer to be notified if you want to resell your commission artwork.
For altering the artwork, I do not allow heavy editing (like filters, color changes or morphing), but you are of course allowed to edit it for social media posts (with text or some borders for example), or for example a label for on a candle!
However, I do not allow cropping out my signature. If you want to crop the image and my signature will be cropped out, please message me and I will replace my signature for you!
If you are not sure, feel free to message me! I will contact you if I am not okay with your alteration. -
You will receive the rights to use the artwork for the intended purpose (e.g. promotional or commercial use), but I retain the copyright to the artwork.
I do not want, but I also can't give you the full rights to my artwork because of the Dutch Copyright Law. -
I would absolutely love to do that, but I unfortunately I can't guarantee that I will read the book or finish it before or during the commission slot.
I wish I could, but I do not have that much time...

I specialize in human and fantasy characters of all kinds, but I can also do landscape/scenery.
I am fine with painting nudity. Sexual themes are also fine, but nothing pornographic (this is subjective, so feel free to ask me and I’ll let you know if I can do it or not).
I will not draw book related art I need a license for (if I don't have one)!
I design book covers, (reversed) dustjackets, edges and many more things.

I offer all kind of sizes you want!
I can do vertical or horizontal, but I can also do any other type (like a circle or anything you can come up with!).
A normal commission will be made on an A5 format (148 x 210 mm) with a 3 mm margin around the whole illustration. I will draw at 3031 x 4252 pixels with a DPI minimum of 300.
I will not make your illustration on a smaller canvas than A5, but after the illustration is finished, it can be resized to any size! Let me know beforehand if you want it in different sizes!
I will draw in CYMK. -
I do not allow to let my art turn into NFT's or feed it into an Artificial Intelligence Generator. Thank you for your understanding!
My art is 100% original, made by me.
Refunds & Revisions

If a commission is canceled during the sketch phase, a partial refund may be available. However, if significant progress has been made, refunds are not typically offered. Please review the details of my cancellation policy.
The deposit you make is non-refundable. However, if a commission is canceled during the sketch phase, a partial refund may be available.
However, if significant progress has been made, the deposit will not be refundable and there is a chance you need to pay an additional fee of the remaining balance.
More of this is stated in the contract you will have to read and sign before the commission starts. -
My goal is to ensure you are happy with the final illustration.
With the way I work and communicate during the commission process you will have enough time to revision the illustration and make changes until you're happy.
But, it can always happen that you change your mind when it's finished or that something is off that you first didn't see. Please contact me and I will see what I can do for you! If the changes are small and easy to do, I will not charge you for it.
However, any big changes after the final piece is approved may require additional fees.

I understand that sometimes life happens, so first of all: no worries about canceling.
If you need to cancel a commission, please notify me as soon as possible. Here is what will happen at different stages:
- Before signing any contract: nothing and you will lose your spot.
- After signing the contract: nothing, but you can regain your spot until one month before the commission month. After this the contract will be terminated.
- After making the deposit: you will most likely not get your deposit back, since it's non-refundable and a deposit is required when sending over the first sketches, so that means I have started the artwork.
- After the artwork is around the coloring phase (at least after the approved line-art): In case of the commission being in a late stage of completion, you will have to pay an additional fee of 50% of the remaining balance.
- After the art work is (almost) finished: completed work is non-refundable and I would prefer it if you would fully pay me for my work.
Keep in mind that if you cancel your commission, you will lose all rights to the illustration and are NOT allowed to use the already received images. I will also not finish your illustration.
If the project is still in its early stages, we can discuss a partial refund. Completed work is non-refundable. -
The commercial license is within the price and can't be removed for a discount.
